She thought is was so funny to sit on it

Smiles!

Naomi and Jake

This past week we went to Liberty Park (twice) with some friends. My friend Kelsey invited us to a play date there last week but we couldn't go. When I saw her pics from the day it looked fun so we decided to go. I was a little hesitant since it is Liberty Park and all. But, we only encountered one crazy guy. And he was super crazy!

Naomi LOVED it! Most who know her knows she loves water. The first day we went was with Becky and Ben. We were there for two hours and both of them could of stayed another hour easily. We went again with Becca and her boys and Naomi was so excited to be there again. I'm so sad that this is the first time this year we've been. Now that summer is leaving we don't have many more days of water fun at Liberty Park. I know S.G. has something similar but smaller so we'll have to go to that when were down there.

As summer comes to an end...

All summer Naomi has been obsessed with these goggles. She sought them out every day.

Playing with cousins at the Gateway fountains.

Riding the giraffe at the zoo.

Driving dad's car. She loves playing in our cars.

Swim play date with the gals and their kiddies.

Riding the train at a neighborhood mini carnival.

Yum!
Showing her princess jammies that she got for her b-day. Plus, the crown.
As summer comes to an end I'm trying to do outside activities before it gets too cold. We're still swimming alot. Recently, we got together with some of my friends from high school and their kids. We ordered in Cafe Rio and let the kids swim and play. It was great! We went to the Zoo this week and as always Naomi loves the train and carousal. We finally bought a season pass so I think we'll be going alot more. Last week, my sisters neighborhood had a mini carnival with train rides, snow cones, cotton candy, dunking machine and lot's of food. Naomi had her fair share of snow cones and cotton candy and train rides. She loved it. By the end of the night, she had sticky cotton candy all over her face along with snow cone juice. Naomi's been a little talker lately. Her vocabulary has sky rocketed in the the last few weeks. I'm amazed by some of the words and sentences that she says. She still loves Diego. It's been in the car dvd for the last few months and she doesn't seem tired of watching it over and over again when we're in the car. She has been getting into Minnie Mouse. Hopefully that sticks to Halloween since I have a Minnie costume. She's obsessed with Chris's I phone. He's put some games on it so she can play with it. Maybe that will entertain her during sacrament so we won't have to chase her around everywhere. Nursery is still a challenge. She literally freaks if one of us isn't there. She loves for us to hide her Diego toy for her to find. She also likes to hide Mia's treats for Mia to find. Poor Mia. Naomi has rocked her world. Unfortunately, she still hits, especially Mia, but we're working hard on that. I vow that I won't have a mean child. Alright, sorry to bore some of you but hopefully the family members who don't get to see Naomi very much will enjoy this.

Nomi turns 2!!

Just a few hours old. Seems so long ago.
Now she's two! I can't believe it.

Opening her presents.

Attempting to blow out her candles.

She couldn't wait one more second to taste her cake.

Checking out her new Diego camera while sitting on her new princess chair.

I told her she had to smile is she wanted me to push her around. This has now become my stroller if I want to walk around the neighborhood.

Two years ago, on August 6th, Naomi E. Jacobsen came to us. I was four days over due and had my induction scheduled for the next day. But, thankfully, Naomi decided to come on her own. I was hoping to go into labor on my own so I was pleased. My contractions woke me up around 6:30 that morning but soon went away so I fell back to sleep. At about 10:30, while we were getting ready to go to church, they started back up again. Honestly, I just thought I was constipated. Gross, I know. Anyway, I still got ready for church because I had to teach my Sunday school class that day. During sacrament my contractions got worse by the minute. So, I told Chris I needed to go home and he needed to teach my class for me. I went home and just layed on the couch getting closer and closer to crying because it was becoming a bit more painful. By the time Chris got home from church I was in tears. Now it's about 4:30 and I'm thinking we should go to the hospital. Honestly, the drive to the hospital was almost unbearable. I was accusing Chris of driving too slow and then too fast. I kept telling him to avoid bumps because it was killing me. Finally, we get there and I couldn't get to the elevator fast enough. Of course, the damn thing was at the highest floor so it took FOREVER to get down. At this point, I can't even stand up so I'm squatting down looking crazy to all around. We get to the maternity floor and within a half an hour I'm admitted with epidural in. Phew! From then on things went great. After nine pushes, out came Naomi. She was 8 lbs. and 3 oz. She was so pretty with her dark hair and big eyes. What a kick in the pants but she's the greatest experience I've ever had.

Now she's two years old and Chris and I are amazed how fast time goes. We decided to go to Raging Waters for her b-day with my sisters and their kids. That place is a little ghetto but really fun! Unfortunately, Naomi became sick right as we got there so she was not interested in playing in the water. But, we got a few water slides in and that was fun! Super scary but fun. Later on that evening we had a b-day party for her with my family where she received lot's of Diego toys. Did I mention she's obsessed with Diego right now. Completely obsessed. Anyway, she didn't really eat today because she didn't feel well but as soon as she saw her cake she was all over it. I was a little bitter that it was a princess cake because I went to get a Tigger and Pooh cake but Maggie Moo's was out of Tigger. She didn't really seem to care what was on the cake. She just wanted to eat it! Thank you to everyone who gave Naomi a gift. She loves all of them.

Island Park

Big Springs.

Naomi is trying on dad's riding boots.

Chris jumping off the bridge.

This is how it ended.

This is how it started.

This is the boat deck in front of the cabin.

Feeding the fish at Big Springs. There were about two fish and two thousand seagulls.

Naomi telling me no with her lovely helmet on.

Grandma reading to Nomi.

Naomi was named after her great grandmother. So, of course I had to take a pic with Naomi under the cabin's sign. And, proof that Chris was on the phone ALOT!!

I can't believe I got a smile when I asked for one.
Every year my family goes to Island Park to my mom's side of the family's cabin. It sits on the Snake River and is about twenty minutes away from West Yellowstone. Pretty much we ride the four wheelers, fish, float down the river and go to West Yellowstone. Naomi LOVED riding on the four wheelers. I think she rode about twenty times a day. If she ever heard one starting up she would run outside and say "I go, I go". Despite the closure on our side of the river due to a grizzly and her cub a few cabins away we still rode up in the woods behind the cabin. We always go to West to shop and go to the play mill. What that means is we go up and load up on homemade taffy and caramels and go to the play mill. Last year Naomi lasted about twenty minutes into the play. But this year she stayed the whole time. I'm guessing it's the constant candy and treats we were giving her to stay content. She probably has ten cavities!
I don't thing Naomi went to bed before 10:30 each night. She ate lot's of treats. Went on a lot of four wheeling rides and even got in the freezing water. BTW, when everyone was jumping off the bridge she wanted to jump too. I had to keep her from going up there. I kept telling her that it wasn't like jumping off the diving board in the swimming pool.
All in all, we had a great time. Now we can look forward to her birthday!!
